How-to: Make A Sensory Spring Garden

Updated: Sep 18, 2023

Spring is coming, why not brighten up your house by making your very own sensory Spring garden?

Step 1: Make your green grass

To make your grass, mix dry rice with green liquid food colouring. Leave it on a flat tray to dry. Once dry, place it along the bottom of a box or container.

Step 2: Add various elements

Add various elements to your garden by getting crafty and creative. A yogurt pot for compost bins or a match box tray for garden planters.

Step 3: Start adding veg, bugs & mud

Create a mud area and use paper or plasticine to make flowers, butterflies, fruit and veg. Use toys, if you have them, to add animals and people.
